Injuries sustained when handling or moving heavy loads can be damaging to the worker’s health and the employer’s reputation. The inherent risk of such injuries in construction sites means that following risk-prevention processes, safety measures and ensuring proper compliance is a necessity.

In construction projects, lifting and handling heavy loads is a common practice, but so are workplace injuries caused when conducting manual handling work.
