No, ladders do not fall under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) in the UK. LOLER primarily applies to lifting equipment and operations, such as cranes, hoists and forklifts. It does not cover ladders. However, ladders should still be regularly inspected and maintained to ensure they are safe for use.
