Customer Feedback

Why Is Fire Door Inspection Training Important?

Fire Doors are a crucial part of every building’s fire safety design. They stop the spread of fire, creating safe evacuation routes for occupants and allowing quick entry for emergency responders. Fire doors also limit property damage by containing fires.

However, experts across the industry agree that the majority of fire doors are inadequate and would fail in an emergency.

Having fire doors in place is not enough. They must be inspected on a regular basis to ensure they are in safe working condition.

Fire door inspections must be completed regularly to ensure doors are in safe working condition. Anyone conducting inspections must have suitable skills, knowledge and experience to be deemed as determined by their employer.

This online course gives trainees an in-depth understanding of fire door inspections. Modules cover fire door standards, design and inspection procedures.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Perform annual checks of all flat entrance doors*
  • Share information with residents on the importance of fire doors

*These must be conducted on a best endeavour basis, meaning responsible persons must endeavour to work with residents to arrange checks.
