About DSE Training

This awareness level training course is intended for all employees who regularly use display screen equipment as part of their work.

The purpose of this training is to provide a thorough understanding of musculoskeletal risks related to working with display screens, how they affect physical and psychological health and ways to minimise such risks at work.

Why Is DSE Training Important?

Incorrect use of display screen equipment (DSE) or poorly designed workstations or work environments can lead to ill health. The symptoms of such illness include pains in the neck, shoulders, arms, wrists and hands. If not taken care of promptly, it can lead to life-long diseases, which in turn can impact the business and its environment.

The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 explains that employers may need to protect their employees from any risks associated with display screen equipment (DSE), such as computers and laptops.
