Our attitudes and workplace culture have a massive impact on the safety of our workplace. After all, attitude and culture are directly linked to our actions and behaviours, and our actions and behaviours directly influence the likelihood of accidents and ill health occuring.
Behavioural Safety training provides managers and employees with an important awareness of why we engage in unsafe behaviours and what can be done to avoid it.
Why Is Behavioural Safety Training Important?
Every work environment comes with a unique set of hazards. Employers have a legal duty to identify these hazards and ensure they are adequately controlled. Employees have a legal duty to work with employers to ensure controls are followed and potential problems identified.
However, the best controls will fail, if managers and employees do not support them. This course looks at why staff might not follow safety controls and what can be done to encourage the type of behaviour that does.
