Understand How to Carry out Compliant Emergency Lighting Tests

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our IIRSM-approved Emergency Lighting Testing course. It explains how to conduct monthly emergency lighting tests required by law.

Users will learn testing procedures, pass/fail criteria and recording requirements to ensure emergency lighting tests are safe and compliant.

This course also includes an e-Checklist for logging test results and maintaining a digital record of actions.

Why Is This Course Important?

In all premises subject to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, emergency lighting must be installed along exit routes that need illumination if the main lighting fails. These emergency lighting systems must be maintained to work adequately, and monthly testing is part of this maintenance.

This course trains users to safely carry out and document emergency lighting tests to ensure compliance.
