Track Compliance Performance Over Time with the New User Group Compliance Report

New User Group Compliance Report

Human Focus has added a new User Group Compliance Report to the Reporting module, giving organisations greater visibility into compliance across user groups and how that position is changing over time.

Compliance status changes as training is assigned, completed, renewed or overdue, deadlines pass, and people move in and out of user groups. The overall position can therefore look very different from one month to the next.

Until now, understanding whether a particular group was improving or slipping back often meant running separate reports for different periods and comparing them manually. The new User Group Compliance Report removes that effort by bringing month-to-month comparison into a single, structured view.

Why a Single Snapshot Isn't Enough

A point-in-time compliance figure tells you where things stand today, but not whether they are getting better or worse. Without a clear way to compare periods, it is difficult to tell whether a dip is a temporary blip or a developing problem, or whether recent efforts to improve completion rates are having the intended effect.

This matters most at the user group level. Headline compliance figures can hide real differences between teams, sites or departments – one group steadily improving while another quietly falls behind. Seeing performance group by group, and across time, is what turns reporting into something you can act on.

What the User Group Compliance Report Does

The User Group Compliance Report lets you compare compliance results between two selected months for your user groups. You choose a first month and a second month, and the report lists each user group alongside its result for both periods, plus a dedicated Progress column that shows the change between them at a glance.

What User Group Compliance Report Does

That Progress column is colour-coded, so improvements and declines stand out immediately without having to calculate the difference manually. Each group also has an overall progress bar, and hovering over it reveals the breakdown behind the result – including the number of users who have passed – so you can see what is driving each group’s figure rather than only the headline percentage.

With this report, you can:

  • Compare compliance results for any two months in a single view
  • See how individual user groups are performing rather than relying on an organisation-wide average
  • Track the change between periods through a clear, colour-coded Progress column
  • Choose whether to base compliance on mandatory training, optional training, or both
  • Sort and filter the results, and export the report to Excel for sharing or further analysis

Because the comparison is built into the report, there is no need to pull figures from different months, align them manually, or reconcile separate exports before you can see the trend.

How This Changes Day-to-Day Compliance Work

For managers and administrators, the report makes it far quicker to answer the questions that come up in practice. Which groups have improved since last month? Where is compliance slipping? Did the reminders and follow-ups we sent improve the results?

Instead of building these comparisons manually, you can review them directly and focus your attention where it is needed. That makes it easier to take targeted action with the groups that need support, and to report progress to leadership with clear, period-on-period evidence rather than a single static figure.

Who This Is For

The User Group Compliance Report is particularly useful for:

  • Compliance and training managers tracking completion and gaps across the workforce
  • Administrators responsible for monitoring compliance and maintaining completion levels
  • Team, site and department managers who need visibility into the specific groups they oversee
  • Senior leaders who want a clear view of whether compliance is improving over time

Greater Visibility, Less Manual Effort

The new User Group Compliance Report builds on the Human Focus Reporting module by making compliance performance easier to understand at the group level and easier to follow over time. By comparing two months in one place, it helps managers and administrators identify trends, monitor progress and act early where compliance needs attention – without the manual work of pulling and comparing reports themselves.
