About Workplace Transport Safety Training

Those who operate with or near workplace transport are at risk of collisions and crashes, falls from vehicles, overturning, vicinity hazards, and noise and vibration. This online course is designed to ensure employees are adequately aware of the hazards they face from workplace transport. It provides them of an understanding of the systems in place to protect them and their role in adhering to those safety controls.

Why Is Workplace Transport Safety Training Important?

Every year nearly 5,000 workplace transport accidents are reported, and around 50 of these result in fatalities, according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). This accounts for around 10% of non-fatal injuries and nearly 20% of fatal injuries.

Employers have a legal, moral and financial duty to protect the health and safety of anyone that may be affected by workplace transport on site. A part of these duties is appropriately assessing the risk of the workplace transport on site and provided an appropriate level of training to control for that foreseeably control for that risk.
