Falls from height remain the leading cause of workplace fatalities in the UK. Latest HSE figures show 35 deaths in 2024/25, accounting for 28% of all workplace fatalities—a figure that remains consistently high year after year.
In this edition, we’re supporting No Falls Week (18–22 May), led by the No Falls Foundation, the UK charity dedicated to preventing falls from height. At Human Focus, we specialise in helping organisations manage work at height effectively in practice—not just on paper. We support businesses to build and verify competence by ensuring training is completed, inspections and risk assessments are carried out, and safe working methods are consistently followed on site.
This edition highlights practical approaches to work at height safety, including risk management, rescue planning, scaffold and ladder safety, and managing worker and contractor competence. We’re also offering free access to our Work at Height Rescue training during No Falls Week, helping you quickly deliver meaningful training to your workforce.
I hope you find these resources helpful.
