Work at Height Rescue for Operatives

Falls from height are the leading cause of fatal injuries at work in the UK. After a fall, a worker left suspended in a harness can lose consciousness within minutes and may die in as little as ten. Rescue plans often fail not because equipment is missing, but because operatives have not been properly briefed on what to do.

This toolkit helps operatives understand site rescue plans, recognise rescue equipment and take the right action when a fall occurs. It also helps supervisors and principal contractors show that rescue briefings are in place, supporting safe systems of work and compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
