Why is Emergency Lighting Testing Training Important?

Emergency lighting activates when the main system fails. During a power cut or fire, it illuminates escape routes and exits so people can safely evacuate a building.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires all non-domestic premises to have emergency lighting installed as needed to ensure safe evacuations. These emergency lighting systems must be maintained in efficient working order. Monthly testing is part of this maintenance.
