Preventing Sexual Harassment at Work: Free Employer Checklist

Preventing Sexual Harassment Free Employer Checklist

Ensure staff are safe and new preventative duties are met

Under the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, effective from October 2024, employers must take ‘all reasonable steps’ to protect their staff from sexual harassment in the course of employment.

A simple workplace policy is not enough to meet this duty. To comply, you must anticipate and manage sexual harassment risks across your operations, including from third parties and at work-related events.

Non-compliance could result in enforcement action from the Equality and Human Rights Commission and paying 25% more on compensation claims.

Is your organisation equipped to meet these new legal duties? Download this free checklist designed to help assess your organisation’s readiness to meet these new legal duties and identify gaps in your current processes.

It covers:

  • Risk Assessment: Identifying harassment risks and checking safety measures are in place
  • Policy: Ensuring your sexual harassment policies are comprehensive, clear and accessible
  • Training: Recognising where sexual harassment training and guidance is needed
  • Handling Reports: Developing an effective system for reporting and managing complaints
