The IOSH Approved SHE for Construction Site Managers e-Learning certificate includes:
Upon successful completion, the trainee’s digital certificate will be claimed by Human Focus directly from IOSH.
IOSH will issue the certificate within 28 days.
At the end of the course, trainees will be asked to complete a theory test and a practical risk assessment to earn their certification.
The end of course test is:
A score of 80% is required to pass the test.
The end of course practical assessment:
Users are given two weeks from completion of the theory test to return the risk assessment. This will be externally assessed by an IOSH approved marker.
The construction sector has statistically poor health and safety records. The rate of fatality in the industry is almost four times that across other injuries.
Some 81,000 suffer from work-related ill health in construction and 61,000 non-fatal injuries per year, according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Any organisation operating in the construction sector has a moral responsibility to do its part to prevent construction site accidents and ill health from occurring. Along with this, comes a legal and financial obligation to do so. Failure to properly manage the hazards on a construction site can result in serious fines and imprisonment, as well as irreparable damage to organisations.
